The market was created to give you the opportunity to connect with your local farmers and other producing members of your community.  By supporting local agriculture you are contributing to a sustainable, energy-efficient alternative to self-nourishment. Local produce has a higher nutritional quality than produce that has traveled thousands of miles.  By spending locally you ensure that a higher percentage of your dollar stays in the local community.
